Ultrabooks are ultra thin and light laptops with 13 or 14 inch displays. But that doesn’t mean that you won’t find a 15 inch ultrabook. Actually Acer is building one. The Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 has an Intel Core i-series processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT640M graphics.
The Timeline Ultra M3 measures 0.8 inches in thickness. Some models will be available with a hybrid storage that combines a large hard drive with a small performance enhancing SSD. Models with just an SSD will also be available. The laptop also has room for an optional DVD drive.
Acer says that the Ultra M3 will get up to 8 hours of battery life. It will resume from sleep in about 1.5 seconds and connect to the internet in 2.5 seconds.
The Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 is expected to go on sale later this month. No word on pricing or other specifications. Acer is also expected to offer an Ultra M5 with a 14 inch display.
